Natalie's 1st Bithday: Fairy Party

A friend of mine, Katherine, hosted a party for her daughter turning ONE and it was a FAIRY THEME! Right when you walk in, you're just like "ooooooh....ahhhhh!" Everything was so beautiful! Perfect theme for the perfect weather! I'm in awe! I want summer kids!!! Maybe my next one? LOL!
Anyhoo...I wanted to share the pictures that Katherine had put on her blog: ♥Sweet Lily Pie. These were the giveaways. Each girl had a tutu with a matching fairy wing. Each boy had a bucket full of goodies.
Hmmm the dessert table..full of yummy sweets!!! I also love the butterflies hanging on the wall!
I'm so glad to have a crafty friend/mommy nearby! hehe!
You did a great job KayKay!!!!
Don't forget to visit her blog to see more details!

DIY: Fairy Wings...Refashion!!!

Who doesn't love playing dress up? Especially with fairy wings! I got this purple bee wing from my local $1 store! Problem is....I didn't like that bee...I wanted it to be more pretty! So I also grabbed 1 bundle of flowers from the $1 store to cover the bee!
before gluing the flowers to the bee with the hot glue gun, I thought I needed two flowers (I took the flower heads off the stem). But instead, I cut the bee off, just leaving the part that was already glued to the wings and I only needed one flower.
I love how it came out! SOOOOOOOO much better than the bee! Talk about refashion! LOL!
My daughter LOVED it...but then again...she has so many wings! hehe...she loves playing dress up with the wings and sometimes she wants her tutu! I bought her these wings because it was inexpensive and I didn't want her to ruin the ones she already had.
I also bought this ladybug wing along with the bee....I might just leave this one alone...what do you think?rLeave it or put black or red flower? =) Get your wings now if your local dollar store carries it!

DIY: Fairy Wings

Do It Yourself Fairy Wings!!! For some of you who want fairy wings for Halloween or just for fun, I went on YouTube to see if I can find a video tutorial of how to make your own fairy wings. Since I'm having a blast making tutus, I'd thought I'd learn how to make fairy wings to go with the tutus. I came across this video and boy do they make it look easy! Just wanted to share the video with you. I will try to make one soon!
