Alexis' Baby Shower

Remember this plastic cake plate in my previous post? Here's what Krystle did with them for a baby shower...
She helped host a baby shower brunch among 6 friends at a restaurant called Horatio's. I love how this shower is small and intimate. She layed out all the cake stand in the middle and used them for jumbo red velvet cupcakes!
She used my extra toppers that I had from my brother's baby shower which was designed by Lorell from Sweetly Sweet in her baby shower collection. I just made a matching label for the flower centerpiece (which were also used as favor tags) and the "Aiyess" topper.
Each person had a place card along with a cookie as favors.
There was 3 different designs of cookies and they were YUMMY!

Blue & Brown Baby Shower

As I said in my earlier post, my family hosted a baby shower for my brother. It's their first child aka my parent's ONLY grandchild to carry the family name! My brother is the only son so my sister & I think he's the golden child! LOL!
I took care of most of the decor, I made the banner above and these pom pom balls. This is the best one I made so far!
My sister took care of the centerpieces. I just made a matching label for these tin cans from Target.
The dessert table...I notice my families aren't a fan of sweets so we just had a few "sweets". This is the first party that I made food labels and because of that, it seems like no one wanted to touch the table!
I saw the paper garland from The TomKat Studio. I wasn't sure how to make it but if you look close enough you might get the idea! =)

Cake Pops with blue drizzle
Cupcake Toppers by Lorell from Sweetly Sweet. The whole decor was worked around her Baby Shower Collection. I LOVE THE COLORS AND DESIGNS!
Lecheflan is FLAN . In my family we call it Lecheflan. =) Made by my mom...it's her secret recipe!
Blueberry Jello and Brownie Cookies
My mom made the Jello and these were a hit!
diaper cake made by my cousin Krystle. We also turned it into a game.
more cake pops...
These games were also from Sweetly Sweet that also came in the Baby Shower Collection. Bingo was a fun game for everyone! They weren't done when someone called "BINGO!" They wanted to finish it with blackout bingo! hehe! Picture below is the pillow box favors that is ALSO included in the collection!
The parents-to-be were happy with the whole shower! They even asked if I can print so more for their next baby shower on the mom-to-be's side of family! That's whats great about printable files...you can print as much as you want! Thanks Lorell for your LOVELY designs!

(PS: I made my brother a "Daddy To Be" tag & Krystle made a "Mommy To Be" sash)
Congrats Joel & Ruby! =)

{Sneak Peek} Blue & Brown Baby Shower

My family threw my brother a baby shower and I said I'd take care of the decor. I was excited...FINALLY another baby shower! Why?... because I been waiting to use Sweetly Sweet's designs by Lorell! When I saw her post for the pink and brown design, I fell in LOVE with it! I wanted to use it for my cousin but she had a pink and purple theme and we ended up using Cute as a Button Theme. Here are the cupcake toppers from Sweetly Sweet.

And this pillow box from the Sweetly Sweet's baby shower collection. Lorell was so kind and changed the name from "Jonah" to "Ruby & Joel's Baby Shower" Inside was this Macadamia Roca or Macadamia Hershey's kisses from Hawaii.
This water pail tin is from Target's $1 section. These are for centerpieces for each table. I made matching labels for this, food labels, and for some games.
This is a diaper raffle game, for those who brought diapers were entered in a raffle contest.
These tags were for the diaper cake game, they had to guess how many diapers are in the diaper cake (pictures coming soon!)
of course cake pops! this was inspired by Amy Atlas.

I wanted to do this for my cousin's girl baby shower that I mentioned above. I got a chance to try it out for my brother's shower! Of course with BLUE! =)
Hope you enjoy this little teaser!

Pink Baby Shower

I was going through my old SD memory cards and I found my baby shower pictures from when I was pregnant with my daughter. This party was planned before I was introduced to the blog world. I was introduced to the blog world when I needed help planning my daughter's FIRST birthday party! It was cupcake theme and I just googled "cupcake party" and oh my! Found a lot of ideas!
Anyways...I didn't really have a theme for this baby shower, I just wanted it all PINKED out! =) My cousin Krystle made the diaper cake which was also a game "how many diapers in this cake" This shower was held in November so it was hard for Krystle to find silk pink flowers for the diaper cake...Luckily Wal-Mart had a few!
This is a big cookie cake from Mrs. Fields Cookies. I LOVE Mrs Fields! I had them probably once a week while I was preggy...this was my biggest craving I NEEDED to fulfill! I know...so bad!!! So hubby got me this giant cookie instead of the usual cake, I loved it!!! =)
The dessert table. This was a small intimate shower, I wasn't going to have another shower but as soon as I found out it was a girl...I wanted NEW GIRLY stuff for baby so the shower was a must! hehe!
I made this candy label for the Hershey's mini candy. The back just says "Thank You". I scattered these all over each tables.

I also had this puppy that I got from Party City for everyone to sign it like a guest book. It came with a ball-point pen but I used a sharpie pen instead. We plan to have another baby someday...not now...I don't need another shower but it'll give me an excuse to throw another party!!! =)

Cute as a Button Baby Shower

Last weekend we threw my cousin a baby shower, Cute as a Button theme. In the previous post, I gave you a sneak peek to the cupcake toppers. So finally the shower as arrived! =). This buttons are made out of candy! I got the full tutorial from Bake It Pretty. She made some free printables for the bag toppers which inspired me make my own bag toppers! Everyone loved it! =) The candy jar in the bottom right is just filled with pink jelly beans, these were extras in case I didn't have enough button favors.
I made "its a girl" banner with buttons between them. (Click on the pictures to zoom in)
I aslso made some onsie cookies to match some of the cupcake toppers. I have never decorated a cookie before except just adding spinkles. I was running late so I didn't get a chance to fill all the cookies, instead I saved time just outlining some cookies and adding some left oer candy buttons.
If you look closely, you can see those circle cookies are actually "button" cookies. I used a circle cutter and for the inside circle, I pressed a little pressure from the bottom of an icing tip. and the 4 holes are from the top of the tip, I think I used tip #4.
The dessert table. Left side is cookies with pecan tarts and the right side is chocolate cupcakes with cookies. On the right side, bottom of tier, my son sprinkled the cupcakes =)
Now I want to eat desserts again!!!!
One of my cousin made the diaper cake.

We did a few games like "Guess how many diapers in cake"
And we played a race of who can put the diaper on fast BLINDFOLDED! =) The blindfolds were inspired by the Ellen show! We printed the eyes on iron on paper, then we ironed them on to an old white shirt. Then we glued them onto black felt and attached an elastic string. Its always a laugh!

{Sneak Peak} Cute as a Button

I'm co-hosting with some members of my families for my cousin's baby shower! Of course they assign me to take care of decorations and such! They wanted just to do a pink and purple colored theme...I somehow made it into a "Cute as a Button" theme...hehe. So here's a sneak peak of the cupcake toppers.
As you can see, they are having a GIRL! I have never made a onsie cupcake topper but I loved how it came out!!! Y is for Ysabella. I hope the parents-to-be likes this! The party is tomorrow so I will post more about that! I'm still in the process of making the favors and "it's a girl" banner!
