Cute as a Button Baby Shower

Last weekend we threw my cousin a baby shower, Cute as a Button theme. In the previous post, I gave you a sneak peek to the cupcake toppers. So finally the shower as arrived! =). This buttons are made out of candy! I got the full tutorial from Bake It Pretty. She made some free printables for the bag toppers which inspired me make my own bag toppers! Everyone loved it! =) The candy jar in the bottom right is just filled with pink jelly beans, these were extras in case I didn't have enough button favors.
I made "its a girl" banner with buttons between them. (Click on the pictures to zoom in)
I aslso made some onsie cookies to match some of the cupcake toppers. I have never decorated a cookie before except just adding spinkles. I was running late so I didn't get a chance to fill all the cookies, instead I saved time just outlining some cookies and adding some left oer candy buttons.
If you look closely, you can see those circle cookies are actually "button" cookies. I used a circle cutter and for the inside circle, I pressed a little pressure from the bottom of an icing tip. and the 4 holes are from the top of the tip, I think I used tip #4.
The dessert table. Left side is cookies with pecan tarts and the right side is chocolate cupcakes with cookies. On the right side, bottom of tier, my son sprinkled the cupcakes =)
Now I want to eat desserts again!!!!
One of my cousin made the diaper cake.

We did a few games like "Guess how many diapers in cake"
And we played a race of who can put the diaper on fast BLINDFOLDED! =) The blindfolds were inspired by the Ellen show! We printed the eyes on iron on paper, then we ironed them on to an old white shirt. Then we glued them onto black felt and attached an elastic string. Its always a laugh!

{Favor Tags} Senior Night

My nephew's last basketball game of the season aka his Senior Night was last week. I made him some goody bags filled with brownies...I was last minute to buy anything so I just baked for him! The bag looked so plain so I wanted to make a tag for it.
His school color's where blue and gold. (I graduated at that High School too!)
The finished treat bag! =)
Chris... Congrats on going to the playoffs!!! =)

{Sneak Peak} Cute as a Button

I'm co-hosting with some members of my families for my cousin's baby shower! Of course they assign me to take care of decorations and such! They wanted just to do a pink and purple colored theme...I somehow made it into a "Cute as a Button" theme...hehe. So here's a sneak peak of the cupcake toppers.
As you can see, they are having a GIRL! I have never made a onsie cupcake topper but I loved how it came out!!! Y is for Ysabella. I hope the parents-to-be likes this! The party is tomorrow so I will post more about that! I'm still in the process of making the favors and "it's a girl" banner!

Maxwell's 1st Birthday Party!

Max's first birthday party has FINALLY come! =). He had a football theme as
you can see. Many of the guest thought my sister had bought the birthday
banner from the store, I'll take that as a compliment! =).
I had fun designing the cupcake toppers! As I mentioned in my previous posts,
I had already made my sister blue and green toppers, but then I made football
ones when she decided on her theme. I ended up using both of them.
A  simple football cake ordered from Safeway Market. The cake was half vanilla and the other half was chocolate....sooo yummy!!!

Happy Valentine's Day!

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

I wanted to make cupcakes but my son Jacob wanted to make cookies instead. Since it's for him, I thought "Sure, why not" He had a blast making them. Now he can't wait until next event to make them. =)
We also made chocolate chip cookies and put them into Wilton's Heart Silicone Mold. But these didn't last very long! It was gone before we could show anyone else! Good thing we got a quick snapshot!!!

Thanks to TomKat Studio for the bag toppers from her
SWEET LOVE COLLECTION!
I LOVE anything she makes!
And for the little note for my hubby, we used the fancy labels
(still from the Sweet Love Collection!)
I made him a 12x12 Valentine's card on Adobe. It was my first time learning how to use all the brushes and such! The greatest gifts are the ones made with LOVE!!! hehe!!!
We had a great Valentines...Hope you did too!!!

So..I'm offering my FIRST printables...and since it's my first one...it's FREE!!! =)

I wasn't into football awhile back but ever since I married my hubby, I have learned to LOVE football! Especially the food we have just for football.
But Basketball still comes first for me =). I originally made this for my nephew in previous post, he had a football theme. I thought why not make a superbowl one, its just right around the corner! Download the printables here. You can use for cupcake toppers or tags! These circles are measured 2" each. Well, I hope you enjoy these as much as I did making them! =)

His party came out so CUTE!!! so many balloons too!! Too bad we couldn't stay long,
I had to hop on to my sister's son's 1st birthday too!

This is a picture from the party. SOOOO cute! Maureen's cousin made the cupcakes, not sure if someone made the cake for her or she ordered from a store. Its so cute! Love the Minnie Mouse one. I was thinking of throwing Jaela a Minnie Mouse party too but maybe when she's 4.
Maureen, party turned out fantastic...Hot Diggity Dog! =)
